About Us:
Ranchito Ave. Elementary School is a School for Advanced Studies (SAS/ G.A.T.E.) and is a year round (4 track) School WideTitle 1 school. At Ranchito, our team of specially trained teachers are committed to providing a high-quality academic program for gifted and talented students. We offer a rigorous instructional program to challenge our students and prepare them for future endeavors. Our English Learners (EL) recieve consistent second language acquisition opportunities in a structured immersion setting. Standards based ELD curriculum and instruction are aligned to language arts standards necessary for participation for Open Court Program. Our school teaches grades K to 5 providing services to approximately 570 students of diverse cultures.

The teachers, administrators, and staff of Ranchito Avenue Elementary School are dedicated to educating, challenging, and inspiring students to meet their full potential. Our motto is "High Expectations equals High Achievement."
Vision:
Parents, teachers and students at Ranchito will work together to improve student learning to enable all of our boys and girls to achieve high academic standards, and thereby attain grade level proficiency in academic subjects.
Goals:
- Improve the reading and writing skills of all Ranchito's students through focus on articulated, appropriate and rigoruos Standards-based instruction.
- Improve the Ranchito students' skills and understanding in mathematics across all grade levels.
- Utilize focused professional development to support and improve classroom practices.
- Encourage and foster parent and community participation at Ranchito.
- All Ranchito students will meet grade level standards in reading, language arts and mathematics as measured by the CAT6, California Standards Tests, and Performance Assignments.
- Achieve Academic Performance Index (API) target goals for our school.
